Spanish & Work

Spanish + Work

Do you want to learn Spanish in Spain and at the same time earn a little bit of money? Or would you rather learn Spanish while volunteering in a Latin American country? If you answered yes to one or both of these, don Quijote has the course for you.

Work in Spain and finance your own stay abroad!

Our Study & Work in Spanish Hotels programme offers you a unique opportunity to improve your Spanish and earn a small allowance while  gaining valuable work experience in Spain’s hospitality industry. This programme is available for students of many nationalities.

You will have a Spanish language immersion course at don Quijote before putting your new skills into practice on a paid work placement in a Hotel or Country House.

You will work on Spain’s beautiful mainland or on the Balearics or Canary Islands. You will have accommodation and meals provided during the work placement phase and you will earn an allowance of between € 200 and € 400 per month.

Don Quijote Spanish schools offer courses where you can learn Spanish and also enhance your résumé (curriculum) with work or voluntary experience abroad. You may choose between a paid job at a hotel or being a volunteer on  a non-profit programme.

Volunteer Programme

An internship is one a great way to explore the sort of job you might like to do after university. An internship in Spain will not only enhance  your CV and language skills, it will give you  first hand experience of  the world of work and everyday life in one of Europe's fastest growing economies.

Don Quijote will find you unpaid work in various social organizations.. There is only one requirement: that you have a sufficient level of Spanish to work in the community. To ensure this, and to help you adapt to this new situation, you will need to have followed a Spanish course with us for at least 4 weeks. Throughout your period of voluntary work, don Quijote will be on hand to ensure you have support and guidance. And, you can also tell us how things are working out.

As a sign of our commitment, don Quijote donates directly to the charitable organization when you take part in this programme.

You will live with a family during the course. As soon as you start your voluntary work you can choose to stay with your host family or move to other accommodation, not necessarily managed by don Quijote.

If you have always wanted to do something for those less well off than yourself, without expecting anything in return, now you have the chance to do so in a Spanish-speaking country. Be a volunteer!
