Come and talk to us (in Spanish)!
Language learning can be lonely, so events that bring us together make a huge difference in motivation and attitude towards learning a new language and culture. Moreover, learning a new language makes the world a better place, and is also fun!
Why learn Spanish?
Did you know that Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world?
There are more than 400 million native speakers of Spanish. Speaking Spanish opens many business opportunities in Spain and in many Spanish-speaking countries and it can strengthen the bonds with existing Spanish business clients. If you are thinking of studying or getting a job abroad, having Spanish on your CV as a second language will be hugely beneficial to your professional career. Or, just if you are interested in Spanish culture and you would like to improve the knowledge of the language.
Are you terrified of taking a Spanish speaking exam, whether it is GCSE, A level, DELE or SIELE? Do you have pesky “what ifs” floating in your mind before every Spanish business meeting? Have you been studying Spanish for quite a while but are still struggling in conversations with Spanish native speakers? Do you still need to use subtitles when watching Spanish films or Netflix Spanish TV series?
Who are these Spanish social events for:
Our Spanish social events are for those who would like to improve their Spanish in a relaxed atmosphere, whether is conversational or beyond, learning a language outside the classroom setting makes it less daunting, and at the same time you can meet new people and share your interest in the Spanish language, culture, gastronomy, art, literature and much more!
The Spanish social events are open to all students of Spanish with opportunities for social interaction through language and cultural networking,
All our Spanish social events have different streams of engagement and/or mixed, from language and culture to gastronomy and art.
- Spanish language engagement:: This is a fantastic way to practice your Spanish language skills and fluency through participating in all the activities, games and quizzes organised in our events. It is a fun and rewarding way to practice learning and speaking Spanish, develop friendships and improve your communication and fluency.
- Spanish cultural engagement:: This is a great way to make new friends, learn about different cultures within the Hispanic world, while participating in activities, presentations and games. Our themed social events held throughout the year are designed to showcase cultures not only within Spain and Latin America but also other countries where Spanish is becoming almost compulsory like the United States.
- Spanish gastronomic engagement: It is often said that gastronomy and language are probably the two characteristics that help more than anything to define a country’s identity and the Spanish gastronomy and language are no exceptions. How food taste is not just determined by its ingredients but by whom you eat with and how happy that makes you feel. We try to teach you Spanish through food: the company, places, colour, smell and even the sound around us impact the flavour of Spanish food. Come and eat with us!
- Spanish art engagement: Whether you are into Spanish literature, painting, sculpture, drama, dance or films, be sure you will find something of your interest.
Art and culture bring us together and boast multiple opportunities for learning a language, entertainment, leisure, personal growth, and improving communication with other people from different age, background, nationality, or religion.
