4. Privacy Policy (GDPR Compliance)

5. Quotations
- All quotations are in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.
- Quotations are valid for one month.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
6.1 Private Tuition
- Cancellations require written notice (email or text) at least:
- 24 hours in advance for individual tuition.
- 48 hours in advance for group or bespoke workshops.
- Lessons canceled within the required notice period may be rescheduled at the teacher’s discretion.
- Lesson packages expire three months after the first lesson.
- Public holidays do not warrant a course fee reduction.
- Course fees are non-refundable, unless the course is canceled by Spanish Express.
6.2 Spanish Homestay Immersion Programme (SHIP)
Cancellation or Postponement by the Student
- All cancellations or postponements must be made in writing via email to monicaromero@spanishexpress.co.uk.
- It is the student’s responsibility to ensure Spanish Express has acknowledged their notice.
30 Days or More Before Arrival
- A €150 cancellation/postponement fee applies.
- An additional 10% of the total fee for the week(s) being canceled or postponed is charged.
- All cancellations are subject to fees, regardless of the reason.
Less than 30 Days Before Arrival
- If cancellation or postponement is made fewer than 30 days before arrival, no refund is possible.
Refund Processing Timeline
- Cancellation or postponement requests made between the 1st and 15th day of any month → Refund processed on the last day of the same month.
- Requests made after the 15th day of any month → Refund processed on the last day of the following month.
No Refund Once the Program Has Begun
- Once the program starts, no refunds or credits will be granted.
Cancellation During the Stay
- If a student cancels due to personal reasons or an emergency, no reimbursement will be provided.
- Students must refer to their travel insurance for possible coverage.
Host Teacher Emergency Cancellation
- Before the Program Starts:
Spanish Express will offer:- Alternative dates, or
- Another homestay destination, or
- A full refund.
- After the Program Has Started:
Spanish Express will offer:- Another homestay destination for the remainder of the stay, or
- A pro-rata refund for the portion of the stay remaining.
7. Complaints
- Complaints should first be directed to the relevant service provider (e.g., teacher, tutor, host teacher, translator, interpreter, etc.).
- If unresolved, formal complaints should be emailed to monicaromero@spanishexpress.co.uk.
8. Quality Control & Assurance
- Staff qualifications and references are verified before employment.
- Customer satisfaction surveys are conducted regularly.
- Teaching staff are DBS checked.
9. Translation, Interpreting, Proofreading & Voice-over Services
- While we strive for accuracy, language services inherently involve nuances and variations, so absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
- For critical documents or meetings, additional proofreaders or interpreters are recommended.
- Refund and cancellation policies for these services align with those for private tuition.
10. Staff & Contractual Obligations
- Students agree not to bypass Spanish Express by privately engaging its teachers, either during or after the contract period.

12. Payments & Fees
- Full payment is required before services commence.
- Large contracts may be paid in instalments, typically on a monthly basis.
- Accepted payment methods:
- Bank transfer
- Debit/credit card (via our website)
- Standing order (for monthly payments)
- PayPal
13. Attendance & Conduct
- Students must attend lessons as scheduled.
- No refunds are provided for students who arrive late, leave early, or fail to attend.
