Today is a very special day! At Spanish Express, we are celebrating our 20th anniversary and we want to celebrate it in style.
For the past 20 years, we have focused on transmitting to our students a love for Spanish culture and language.
In the same way, each and every one of our students has left their mark on our institution.
Spanish Express is more than a language school. Our values and our perseverance drive us to keep growing day by day.

The origins of Spanish Express
Spanish Express was founded in 2003 by a brilliant team of linguists. They all had many years of experience in language teaching and decided to found an institution which reflected their love of languages and culture.
Thanks to this union, a teaching body truly committed to passing on their knowledge was born. A number of professional translators have also worked for our school-agency.
The positive feedback for our programmes, courses and workshops has meant that, year after year, the student intake has become wider and more varied. During these 20 years, the dream of Spanish Express has become a reality thanks to all the students who have chosen us to immerse themselves in the beautiful Spanish culture. We couldn’t be happier on our anniversary.
The practical, interactive and personalised approach of our programmes has made it possible for students to learn quickly and get to speak Spanish from the very beginning.
The philosophy here at Spanish Express combines the development of language skills, the improvement of oral and written communication as well as the exposure to the main values of Spanish culture: literature, cinema, food, festivities, among others.
On the other hand, new technologies have forced us to adapt our courses to be flexible with virtual learning. In this manner, the Spanish Express platform offers the opportunity to combine classes with the rest of the activities on your agenda.
Taken from the Irish poet William Butler Yeats, there is a phrase that sums up the spirit of Spanish Express: “Education is not filling a bucket, but lighting a fire“.

Sit the exams with us
Do you already know Spanish and want to certify your knowledge? At Spanish Express, we prepare you for the official exams taken under the British Education System (A-Level and IGCSE) and the Spanish Official Exams (SIELE and DELE).
In addition, Spanish Express is one of seven accredited SIELE examination centres in the UK. Therefore, you can sit the exam at our London centre or you can prepare for the exam by enrolling in one of our 4 private tuition programmes.

If there is one programme that has become the flagship of Spanish Express, it is the Spanish Homestay Immersion Programme (SHIP).
There is no better way to learn Spanish than to immerse yourself into Spanish culture and daily life. Having the opportunity to learn Spanish in the home of one of our host teachers while talking to native speakers and discovering wonderful places is, without a doubt, a wonderful experience.

Our most recent SHIP participants
Gideon
At the tender age of 14, Gideon decided to join our SHIP in Valencia, Spain, and live an unforgettable adventure with the permission of his parents. There he was able to enjoy Spanish lessons in the open air, as well as practising water sports and getting to know the cultural highlights of this great city. Some of the places he visited were the Miguelete tower, the Roman wall and the Serrano towers. Before returning to England, he told us that one of the things he enjoyed the most was paella – have you ever tried it?
Léa y Tiffany
Léa and Tiffany travelled from France and England respectively to participate in our SHIP in Dosrius, Barcelona. They became instant friends and found out how much they had in common. For example: their passion and desire to learn and perfect their Spanish in order to take the SIELE exam. They got to know wonderful places and had the opportunity to practice their Spanish with some of Monica’s family and friends. Would you like to prepare for the SIELE?
Liam
Liam, an 18-year-old student and model, came across the pond from New York to Valencia to participate in our SHIP. His plan was to live in Spain for a while, so learning Spanish was vital for him both personally and professionally. Liam was very impressed with the Tomatina Festival in Buñol and other enriching experiences he had during his visit to Pilar’s house in Gilet, Valencia, so he decided to repeat the adventure and participate in the Barcelona SHIP. Megan
Jack
Jack had been preparing for the DELE exam, online, all year with Pepe, and before taking the exam he decided to give his Spanish a boost by taking part in a week of immersion at Pepe’s house in Palma de Mallorca. Jack is a water sports lover and was lucky enough to be able to watch the Copa del Rey regatta, a dream come true for him!
