About Your Host Teacher in Dosrius, Barcelona
Mónica is the founder and director of Spanish Homestay Immersion Programme, a division of Spanish Express. She’s Spanish of Argentinian descent and was lucky enough to grow up on the most amazing island on Earth, Menorca.
Having relocated to Barcelona for her initial university studies, Mónica made her way to London nearly years ago — a city she fell in love with during her first visit at the age of 14. Currently, she divides her time between Spain and the UK to enjoy the best of both worlds.

Hello! My name is Samba…
I’ve got an adventurous spirit and tons of energy. Running is my thing; I can go on for ages. It’s in my nature as a Golden Retriever to be this way.
My main job? I keep watch over our home and look after my people. My sibling, Rumba, takes on the role of alarm with all the barking. That’s our team effort.
What I love most is playtime with my Mummy. We have a blast tossing the tennis ball around, or playing hide-and-seek and tug-of-war.

When it’s mealtime, you’ll find me the happiest. As a true Golden Retriever, I can’t hide my excitement, especially if it’s tuna on the menu—that gets me drooling!
Catching some z’s is my favourite pastime. Be it a comfy bed, a cosy chair, or a snug sofa, I can nap just about anywhere. But nothing beats snuggling up on the pillow right next to my Mummy.
