Designed just for you, our Spanish Homestay Immersion Programme (SHIP) caters to teens aged 16-18, offering more than just education—it offers an environment for holistic growth. Live in Spain, in the very home of your private teacher, for a week or longer.

Programme Overview: Adolescents 16 – 18
Our program guarantees a rich cultural experience and shared social activities. You’re not a tourist; you’re an honorary local.
- You’re not just signing up for a course; you’re joining a community.

What the programme includes:
- 2 initial introduction lessons online with your Spanish teacher, including a level test, and preparations for the trip before departure
- 10 hours of one-to-one tuition per week
- Study materials
- Assessment of improvement test on the final day
- Comprehensive end-of-course report
- Attendance certificate
We have vetted all of our teachers and require that they have a DBS (police check) as well as a safeguarding children certificate. Students are loved and welcomed as part of the family at Spanish homestays for kids, where daily speaking practise is provided.
Who is this Valencia Spanish immersion programme recommended for?
Students between the ages of 16 and 18 are eligible for the 16+ SHIP.

Pilar is a highly experienced Spanish teacher, a graduate of Valencia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, and Philosophy.
She is passionate about travel and eager to learn more about different cultures. With Pilar, you will be able to learn all about Spanish culture, traditions, and gastronomy in Valencia.

Gilet, Valencia – Accommodation
When you come to Valencia, you will be staying in Gilet. This area is located 20 km from the city of Valencia!
The beaches are 10 minutes drive from the house and the village is surrounded by mountains and typical Mediterranean vegetation, pines and bushes of rosemary, thyme, and many more beautiful green areas.
An exceptional place!
Your Spanish home is a big house with large open spaces, gardens and a small pool. It features two huge terraces, from which you can view the majesty of the Sierra Caldero.
Students can also enjoy the beauty of nature by taking a walk through the forest that is just behind the house.

Unless they are on a 2:1 Valencia Spanish immersion programme, in which case a twin room is shared, students in our private Spanish classes for the Adolescents 16 – 18 programme have their own private bedroom, a comfortable single or double bed.
We must be told ahead of time if there are any special dietary requirements.
You can study individually or travel with loved ones, with groups of up to 6 of roughly the same fluency level.
